Manufacturing

Pharmaceutical manufacturing comprises physical processes such as blending, compression, filtration, heating, encapsulation, shearing, tableting, granulation, coating, and drying.

It offers potential flexibility, quality, and economic advantages over batch processing, both in process development and manufacturing for the pharmaceutical sector. Over the past decade, there have been significant advancements in science and engineering to support the implementation of continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing. Building on this progress, research efforts should continue in several key areas to address the remaining implementation challenges.

Pharma Manufacturing practices include all methods that are required to develop Pharma services. These practices provide minimum requirements that must and should be met by pharmaceutical companies in order to provide high-quality products that will pose no risk to the patients/consumers at large.
